We’re looking for a Legal Project Executive to join the Legal Operations and Project Management (LOPM) team in London. The team supports lawyers and clients to deliver legal work more effectively and efficiently by applying legal project management and business improvement approaches across live matters, internal projects, and firm-wide initiatives.

About The Role

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing team that plays a central part in how legal services are delivered, working closely with lawyers, operations teams and senior stakeholders. In this role, you can expect to get involved in a variety of work including:

  • Project and matter delivery
    • Support the planning, tracking and delivery of client matters and internal projects using legal project management approaches.
    • Monitor timelines, risks, dependencies and deliverables, providing clear updates on progress.
    • Facilitate meetings, ensuring actions and responsibilities are clearly recorded and followed up.
    • Use and help develop project management tools and resources to support consistent delivery.
  • Financial and commercial support
    • Assist with tracking budgets, time recording and other performance data.
    • Contribute to simple financial reporting and analysis to support cost control.
    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and support better outcomes for clients and teams.
  • Tools, technology and improvement
    • Work with teams to apply appropriate project management tools and approaches.
    • Support engagement with legal technology and collaborate with the Legal Tech team where needed.
    • Contribute to process mapping and improvement initiatives.
    • Support projects aimed at improving quality and consistency in delivery.
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication
    • Build effective working relationships with lawyers, business services and stakeholders.
    • Adapt your communication style to different audiences and priorities.
    • Prepare clear, structured communications to support projects and change initiatives.
    • Contribute to training and awareness of LOPM tools and approaches.
  • Data and reporting
    • Use Excel and other tools to track performance and project metrics.
    • Produce clear, accessible reports and visualisations.
    • Support data-informed decision-making by providing accurate and timely insights.

About You

  • A minimum of 2–3 years experience supporting projects or similar work, ideally in a law firm (Other professional services environments will be considered).
  • An interest in legal project management, operations or improving how work is delivered.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, with good organisation and attention to detail.
  • Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders, adapting your approach as needed.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with a focus on finding practical solutions.
  • Comfort working with data, including using Excel and PowerPoint to support analysis and communication.
  • Experience using project management, process mapping, or workflow tools.
  • Exposure to change initiatives or process improvement work.
