An exciting opportunity to join CMS in our Insurance Team in our London office.
About The Role
The Insurance & Reinsurance Group are busy and continue to grow. They are looking to hire into the team in the London office at the 4 PQE+ level. The team handle a wide range of market leading matters which include:
- widely ranging professional indemnity disputes (particularly defending claims against finance professionals, solicitors, insurance brokers and construction professionals);
- financial lines, W&I, cyber risks;
- aviation;
- complex policy coverage matters.
You will have the opportunity to work with an enviable client base, including many of the leading insurers and major brokers. The team are known for being friendly, highly commercial in their advice and offer the prospect of working closely with key clients, alongside being encouraged to develop your own contacts/network in the market.

The right individual will have experience gained at a City, insurance, major regional or leading international firm with strong experience handling clients in major insurance undertakings. We are looking for people 4 PQE+ ideally. You will have excellent drafting skills and the ability to deliver practical and commercial advice. Due to the role being client facing, you will need to have sound judgement and good interpersonal and project management skills. You will have gained experience in the professional indemnity, financial lines, cyber, transactional liability or aviation classes of business, but we are open to considering applicants with extensive coverage experience in other classes.
