We are looking to recruit a lawyer with 2+ PQE into our Insurance & Reinsurance Group in London or Bristol for a role focused on cyber. The work combines breach response and coverage work, placing you close to the action. You may advise on a live cyber incident in one week and analyse a complex coverage case the next. Matters are high‑profile, fast‑moving and involve incident response, cyber and financial lines coverage, follow‑on claims and disputes. You will work directly with leading insurers and major corporates on issues that demand strong legal analysis, judgement, commerciality and the ability to move quickly.

The team uses AI and technology to enhance client service, from AI‑assisted data review in breach response to developing new technology‑enabled service models. We encourage engagement with the practice side of technology and creative thinking about how it can improve what we do.

What sets this role apart is its blend of sophisticated, commercially significant work and a friendly, straightforward, collaborative culture. Associates receive early responsibility, close partner access and meaningful client contact, with clear scope to develop a cyber specialism, build client relationships and raise your profile, supported by a leading insurance team and international firm. People who join this team tend to stay.

You likely come from a City firm, specialist insurance, major regional or leading international firm. You may already have cyber experience or have strong foundations in coverage, financial lines, professional indemnity, technology or data disputes, or another relevant line. What matters is a genuine interest in cyber.

You are technically strong with good drafting skills, comfortable advising clients directly, and take ownership of your work. You manage competing demands well and are a lawyer colleagues enjoy working with. An interest in AI and technology in legal services is an advantage, not a requirement. We are looking for lawyers who want to grow with the team’s momentum.

Benefits are designed to offer choice and flexibility based on individual needs and lifestyles:

  • Competitive basic salary (reviewed annually)
  • Flexible, hybrid working policy
  • Generous bonus scheme
  • Up to 25 days holiday (rising to 28 days with service)
  • Holiday exchange scheme
  • Private medical insurance
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Reasonable adjustments and accommodation for disabled talent in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
