Want to turn messy adoption data into fast, trusted reporting? You’ll build the data foundations that let the business see what’s working, what isn’t, and what to do next. This new role is being offered on a 6 month FTC.

About The Role

You’ll join the team driving our firm-wide roll-out of AI tools, where adoption and outcomes are now first priorities and we have rich usage data ready to turn into decisions. We’ve already stood up the core data feeds and reporting, and this role is the step-change to make it reliable, governed, and trusted across the business. In this role, you can expect to get involved in a variety of work including:

  • Build reliable data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric to ingest, clean, and join adoption data from multiple sources, with monitoring and clear documentation.
  • Create curated “gold” datasets and a single trusted reporting layer that keeps metric logic consistent across all dashboards.
  • Design and optimise Power BI semantic models so reports are fast, scalable, and easy for others to extend safely.
  • Replace fragile, manual reporting with automated refreshes, validation checks, and clear reconciliation so leaders can trust the numbers.
  • Partner closely with the metric owner to translate adoption questions into durable data products and reporting that drives action.
  • Raise the engineering bar across reporting: standards, version control, deployment practices, and a tidy data catalogue people can actually use.

About You

We will invest in your ongoing training and development to support your professional goals and help you to thrive in your role from day one. Our opportunities are open to all suitably qualified applicants, so to be considered for this role, you must meet the following skills and experience:

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience building production data pipelines and transformations in Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse or Warehouse) or an equivalent Microsoft data platform.
  • Demonstrable experience designing and maintaining Power BI semantic models, including dimensional modelling (star schema), relationships, measures, and model performance tuning.
  • Strong SQL capability, shown by delivering complex joins, aggregations, and incremental data processing on large datasets.
  • Experience implementing data quality and reconciliation controls (validation rules, exception reporting, refresh monitoring) for business-critical reporting.
  • Experience using version control and managed deployment practices for data and reporting assets (for example, Git-based workflows and environment separation).
  • Ability to translate defined reporting requirements into documented datasets and reports, including clear metric definitions and a data dictionary.

Desirable

  • Experience working with legal technology adoption or usage data in a large professional services organisation, including defining and maintaining consistent measures across practice areas and offices.
  • Experience handling data from common time management, resource management and finance systems and vendors (for example document management, project management, time recording, knowledge systems, and AI platforms), including normalising user and project identifiers.
  • Experience designing reporting that supports adoption programmes, including segmentation by role, department and team, and tracking change over time.
  • Experience working in environments with client confidentiality and information security controls, including data minimisation, access control, and auditability for reporting outputs.
  • Experience supporting senior stakeholders with management information, including producing board‑ready packs, and explaining data limitations, assumptions, and confidence levels.

What’s in it for you?

Benefits

  • Competitive basic salary (reviewed annually)
  • Flexible, hybrid working policy
  • Generous bonus scheme
  • Up to 25 days holiday (rising to 28 days with service)
  • Holiday exchange scheme
  • Private medical insurance
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Reasonable adjustments and accommodation for disabled talent in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
