Our client, a reputable housing association, is looking for a senior disrepair officer to be responsible for the operational and administrational management of a range of term repairs including disrepair and environmental health or those considered to be of a more complex nature.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assist with management of repair and maintenance budgets with regard to disrepair works, soliciting and compensation costs, including budget setting and the provision of financial information and analysis to monitor contract progress and expenditure to achieve value for money.
- Attend Court and represent Network Homes where necessary in defence of disrepair claims.
- Ensuring auditable contract administration with effective systems developed and maintained for the timely and accurate payment of invoices and valuations subject to proper authorisation.
- Attending weekly contractor tool box talks to embed lean method of working.
- Auditing of materials held in contractors’ vans.
- Develop the approach to collecting and using resident satisfaction data.
- Work with contractors and service improvement team to identify, negotiate and implement measures to achieve continuous improvement.
- Working closely with Customer Services Centre to ensure effective repairs ordering is achieved.
- Working in partnership with contractors’ staff co-located in the contact centre to manage complex repairs, investigating and drafting responses to repairs complaints.
