A superb opportunity to gain experience and expand your knowledge! Our client manages a large academic building in Stevenage. Urgently looking for a site assistant to undertake generic repair and maintenance tasks on the property and equipment (training will be provided). The role involves working on a flexible shift rota across 7 days a week (37.5 hrs per week). This role requires completing a level Security Clearance paperwork to gain access.
Your daily duties include:
- Check all metre readings and ensure they are recorded
- Check plant equipment control panels and report failures when necessary
- Top up salt levels and check water treatment
- Perform fire alarm checks, including the panel, call points, fire doors, fire extinguishers, and signage
- Complete inspection logs, recording all findings
- Report damage to the helpdesk for maintenance booking
- Keep building logs up to date, including new installations, parts, and certificates
- Maintain records of consumables and supplies
- Record contractor/subcontractor visits
- Litter picking and general cleaning
