Location: Stevenage – Static

Salary: £18,000 per annum (£9.23 per hour)

Type: Temp to Perm / Perm

Working Hours: Monday to Sunday – 37.5 hrs, between 06:00am to 10:00pm (Candidates must have flexibility)

A superb opportunity to gain experience and expand your knowledge! Our client manages a large academic building in Stevenage. Urgently looking for a site assistant to undertake generic repair and maintenance tasks on the property and equipment (training will be provided). The role involves working on a flexible shift rota across 7 days a week (37.5 hrs per week). This role requires completing a level Security Clearance paperwork to gain access.

Your daily duties include:

  • Check all metre readings and ensure they are recorded
  • Check plant equipment control panels and report failures when necessary
  • Top up salt levels and check water treatment
  • Perform fire alarm checks, including the panel, call points, fire doors, fire extinguishers, and signage
  • Complete inspection logs, recording all findings
  • Report damage to the helpdesk for maintenance booking
  • Keep building logs up to date, including new installations, parts, and certificates
  • Maintain records of consumables and supplies
  • Record contractor/subcontractor visits
  • Litter picking and general cleaning
