Production Controller

£10.00 – £11.00 per hour

Location: Greenwich

Working Hours: Mon – Thurs 07:30 – 17:30, Fri 07:00 – 15:45

An opportunity has arisen within the material department of a multinational engineering company for an experienced Production Controller/Inventory Controller, working within the Inventory control team.

As a Production Controller/Inventory Controller, you will manage the supply of materials for production to ensure site plans and requirements are met.

The role requires a candidate with strong SAP knowledge; experience in modules such as MM, PP, WM, QM is advantageous.

The successful candidate will have a solid background in supply chain management, preferably with experience in industries like Automotive, Telecommunications, Pharmaceutical, or Aviation.

You will attend meetings with senior management, present information, and support workload scheduling.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Managing the supply and control of materials from goods in to the stores warehouse and production areas.
• Controlling the movement of materials using SAP and Excel, from goods receipt to end user.
• Ensuring materials are properly kitted and available for production.
• Conducting stock cycle counts and managing inventory.
• Managing traceability and shelf life issues for key materials.
• Organizing stock placement and maintaining records.
• Interacting with material controllers and production staff daily.
• Assisting in planning and workload allocation.
• Supporting KPI development and use for process control.

Experience / Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven, procedure-controlled environment.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in standard computer packages.
• Knowledge of material handling techniques is beneficial.
