Location; Falmer, East Sussex
Salary; £11.00 – £13.00 per hour
Hours; Monday Friday, 8am 5pm
Contract; minimum 8 weeks

Do you have a passion for painting & decorating, if so we have an opportunity working on a commercial site.

An established Leading facilities maintenance company are looking for a painter & decorator to join their team on a large Campus based in Falmer.

Main Responsibilities for the Painter and Decorator;

• Working in an interior and exterior environment
• Handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner
• Calculating the amount of materials and time required for said project
• Preparing the surrounding areas by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes
• Taping off areas as needed
• Moving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project
• Preparing surfaces – washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint
• Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces
• Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when project is complete

Desirable;

• Up to 2 years experience required
• NVQ in a relevant field is desirable but not essential.
• Working knowledge of site health safety procedures would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Good eye for detail and be able to foresee any potential issues.
