Company Overview
Working for a global Telecommunications company based in South East London, we are recruiting an experienced Mechanical CAD Engineer. The company designs, develops, and manufactures subsea telecommunications equipment on site, to be installed globally.
Role Description
Within the Industrial Engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical processes using Autodesk Inventor 3D, 2D AutoCAD, and Creo CAD. This is an ongoing contract position suitable for an experienced CREO CAD Engineer ready to contribute immediately and make an impact. You will utilize software such as AutoCAD, CREOCAD, and Autodesk Inventor to produce quality mechanical designs within time and budget constraints. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in producing, reading, and developing mechanical drawings, and translating designs into manufacturing processes.
Working Conditions
Standard office hours (40 hours/week, Mon-Fri), with scope for overtime as needed.
Experience and Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, CREOCAD, and MS Excel
- Strong mechanical calculation skills
- Understanding of the engineering design process
- Ability to translate design/drawings into manufacturing processes
