To provide tooling reviews, maintenance, and upkeeping in all manufacturing areas. To generate and maintain tooling KPIs and database.
Main Responsibilities:- Always ensure good tooling condition in all manufacturing areas.
- Provide Mechanical support to submerged manufacturing departments.
- Assist in scheduling maintenance and calibration activities.
- Attend manufacturing tooling breakdowns and issues.
- Estimate length of time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescales and communicate to end users.
- Record keeping for tooling database and other maintenance activities.
- Identify breakdown root causes of tooling faults.
- Become familiar with SAP and raising SPRs.
- Generate PPMs for tooling issued to shopfloor.
- Maintain tooling database, checking, and logging condition of tooling and equipment.
- Maintain a log of PPMs and ensure they are carried out in a timely manner.
- Resolve manufacturing issues within a reasonable timeframe.
- Ability to work within a multi-skilled team and as an individual worker.
- Mechanical background and experience.
- Experience in mechanical assemblies and fault finding and repair scheduling.
- Experience and good MS Office skills.
- Good understanding of general mechanics and mechanical engineering principles.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible and able to adapt when business needs change.
- Good analytical skills to interpret reports, charts, data, and technical drawings.
