CMS Recruitment are seeking hardworking Assistant Site Manager on a permanent basis to join our well-known construction & regeneration client working across Northumberland.

Role Purpose: To assist the Site Manager in their duties to manage and co-ordinate the day to day activities on site, running projects from inception to contractual handover.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To successfully assist in the delivery of new build and refurbishment construction projects, safely, to the specified quality, on time and to budget.
  • Develop a close working partnership with the Quantity Surveyor to enable accurate reporting on the current and projected financial status of schemes as well as identifying any contractual or commercial risks.
  • To ensure adherence to and monitor health and safety procedures and documentation on site in compliance with current health and safety policy and legislation.
  • Ensure segregation of build areas from handed over purchaser areas at all times.
  • Ensure sites are kept to the highest standard of cleanliness and presentation appropriate to that of a large regional housebuilder.
  • Monitor material stocks on site and assist the Site Manager requisition materials and plant through the Buyer in a timely manner to allow procurement to meet the construction programme.
  • Effective liaison with Head Office departments, on-site Sales Executives, Subcontract suppliers and external Clients.
  • Ensure all snagging and post entry snagging is completed on time and that Ascent Homes Customer Care Department are kept updated on a weekly basis.
  • To foster and encourage equality of opportunity and adhere to data protection requirements.
  • The act as the principal site supervisor in the event of Site Manager absence i.e. annual leave.

Personal Specification

Essential Criteria:

  • You must have: Qualified to relevant Construction qualifications or significant industry experience.
  • Experienced Assistant Site Manager working to tight timeframes.
  • Track record of successful delivery of construction projects valued over £1 million in the private / commercial sector.
  • Wide range of sector experience including housing & commercial projects.
  • Aware of the NHBC Standards and compliance requirements.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
