Job Description

Job Summary CMS Recruitment seeking a talented and detail-oriented Draughtsperson, specializing in Cladding and Roofing to join our dynamic design team In Durham.

In this role, you will be responsible for translating architectural concepts into precise technical drawings and schematics that guide the construction of high-quality cladding and roofing systems.

Your expertise will ensure that designs are accurately represented, feasible for construction, and aligned with project specifications.

Duties Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings for cladding and roofing projects using CAD software such as Auto CAD, Revit, Archi CAD, Micro Station, and Solid Works.

Create accurate schematics, system designs, and construction documentation to facilitate seamless project execution.

Utilize design tools like Sketch Up, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, and 3ds Max to visualize concepts and produce realistic renderings.

Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to review design feasibility and resolve technical issues early in the process.

Prepare comprehensive technical reports, system layouts, and graphic presentations that clearly communicate design intent.

Assist in reviewing project specifications and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Support the integration of innovative materials and techniques into design proposals to enhance durability and aesthetic appeal.

Requirements Proven experience with CAD software including Auto CAD, Revit, Archi CAD, Micro Station, or Solid Works is essential.

Strong proficiency in Sketch Up, Rhino 3D (including Grasshopper), 3ds Max, and related visualization tools.

Familiarity with schematic development, system design, and construction documentation for cladding and roofing projects.
