About the role
The Insurance & Reinsurance Group are busy and growing. We are looking to hire in our London office at the 4PQE+ level. The team handle a wide range of complex, high value coverage and defence matters, with notable international presence.
Key areas of work include wide ranging defendant professional indemnity disputes, FI/D&O, complex policy coverage matters acting for insurers & reinsurers and cyber breach response/coverage work. There is the opportunity to specialise in a particular area or maintain breadth, as well as gain exposure to emerging classes of claims such as W&I, Fin Tech & Tech E&O. You will have the opportunity to work with an enviable client base, including many of the leading insurers and major brokers. The team are known for being highly commercial in their advice and offer the prospect of working closely with key clients, alongside being encouraged to develop your own contacts/network in the market.
About you
The right individual will have 4 PQE+ gained at a City, major regional or leading international firm with strong experience handling clients in major insurance undertakings. You will have excellent drafting skills and the ability to translate legal theory into practical, commercial advice. Due to the role being client facing you will need to have sound judgement and good interpersonal and project management skills.
