An exciting opportunity to join our Patents Team as a Paralegal in our London office on a 12-month fixed term contract.

About the role

At CMS we pride ourselves on providing industry leading training, guidance, support and variety of workload to ensure our paralegals are in the best possible environment to learn and develop.

The aim for all of our patent paralegal team is to become “full service”, with technical knowledge extended across the whole range of patent prosecution activities and related support.

There are opportunities to tackle a wide range of tasks across all of our clients, from European, PCT and United Kingdom applications to handling foreign patents, assignments and helping to design client processes.

Teamwork and communication are a huge part of making our working model efficient and high performing.

Paralegal feedback is encouraged, reviewed and, where we see value, is implemented into our process refinements.

  • Experience in patents, at least to the level of the Introductory Certificate in Patent Administration from CIPA, is needed for this role.
