About the role
This role supports the client and facilities teams, ensuring a high-quality service and environment for clients and visitors at the CMS Manchester office on an 18-month fixed-term contract.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, pro-active service/support in line with the needs of the client and facilities teams.
- Ensure a high-quality service and environment for clients and visitors.
- Liaise with IT/AV and facilities teams to report faults.
- Assist AV with ad hoc tasks.
- Set up conference/meeting room facilities (not AV equipment), including opening and closing partitions, whiteboards, and room set-ups.
- Assist in external CMS seminars where required.
- Undertake weekly audits of all conference/meeting rooms, ensuring equipment, lighting, air conditioning, and fabric are working to a high standard; report shortfalls to the appropriate helpdesk.
- Assist with the logistics, planning, and implementation of any moves or change requirements.
- Display high levels of customer service and professionalism to help resolve any issues from clients and visitors to the conference rooms.
Qualifications
- Have lived in England for 3 years or more.
- Hold 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English at grade 6 or above.
- Will be working towards the Level 2 Facilities Services Operative Apprenticeship Standard.
- Have an interest in learning about mechanical services within building services.
- Do not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject.
- Be willing to learn about office moves and relocation logistics.
- Show enthusiasm to learn about facilities and building management.
- Be highly service-focused with a “can do” attitude.
- Be highly organised, able to plan and prioritise.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team and as an individual.
- Be able to listen, question, and interpret information to understand requirements.
- Have a keen eye for detail and identify opportunities to improve set-ups.
- Possess numerical and verbal reasoning skills.
- Have good interpersonal skills and be flexible to work with a range of styles and personalities.
