We are currently seeking a Trend & Change Manager to join our dynamic award winning team.

Our client is delivering a major terminal expansion programme at one of the UK’s busiest international airports, involving complex infrastructure upgrades and large-scale construction works within a live operational environment.

As a Trend & Change Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the management of change across the programme, ensuring emerging trends, cost movements, and scope changes are accurately captured, analysed, and reported.

This role will work closely with cost, commercial, and project controls teams to maintain robust change control processes and provide insight into programme impacts.

Candidates with a cost or quantity surveying background will be particularly well suited to this role.

  • Manage the programme trend and change processes, ensuring all potential changes are captured and assessed.
  • Track emerging cost and scope trends, providing early visibility of potential impacts to the programme.
  • Support the evaluation and documentation of change events and variations across the project.
  • Maintain accurate change logs and ensure robust governance of the change control process.
  • Cost & Programme Insight
  • Work closely with cost management and commercial teams to assess financial impacts of changes.
  • Support the integration of approved changes into programme budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist with the preparation of change and trend reporting for project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Analysis & Reporting
  • Provide clear reporting on trends, change events, and potential risks to programme delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve change management processes and reporting practices.
  • Support project controls teams in maintaining transparency and consistency across programme reporting.

We’re looking for

Essential

  • 3-5 years’ experience within project controls, cost management, or commercial roles.
  • Background in cost management, quantity surveying, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of change control and trend management processes on infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working within engineering, procurement, and construction project environments.

Desirable

  • Experience working on major infrastructure or aviation projects.
  • Familiarity with cost management or project controls tools.
  • Understanding of NEC or similar contract frameworks.
  • Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent project experience).
  • Experience supporting project controls or commercial functions on complex construction programmes.
