We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Risk Manager/Lead to join our Project Controls team and play a key part in supporting our clients within the nuclear industry. The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of the overall risk management and reporting capability within CMR as we expand across the UK.

You’ll:

  • Drive greater efficiencies by challenging ways of working, the required information, and the means of communication. Ensuring the benefits are fully harnessed of systems implemented within IPC.
  • Collaborate with other key functions on the project in respect of data and analysis.
  • Lead and drive an integrated project controls approach into the Delivery Risk function.
  • Be responsible for supporting the development of risk competency within the Function.
  • Lead Delivery risk management training so that project teams are proficient in the use and application of the project processes and analytical tools and actively promote the awareness and application of Delivery Risk management across the organisation, helping to establish a pro-active risk management culture throughout the project.
  • Be accountable for governing and leading the implementation of the project Delivery Risk management processes to enable the timely and regular transfer of accurate and coherent information into the relevant schedule and performance reports.
  • Provide timely and reliable assessment of risk exposure across the delivery directorate, working with the Cost function to support the requirements of the financial forecasting process.

We’re looking for:

Essential:

  • Relevant experience within a project management or project controls environment.
  • Experience in major construction projects.
  • A technically-minded individual with a detailed understanding of risk methodologies, mitigation processes & techniques within an enterprise environment.
  • A good communicator who is able to articulate technical concepts to a wider audience.
  • An individual who is comfortable with challenging assumptions and processes to constantly improve the delivery of performance data.

Desirable:

  • Recognised project management qualification such as Association of Project Management (APM) or Institute of Risk Management (IRM).
  • The ability to use quantitative risk analysis tools for cost and schedule risk analysis (e.g. @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, ARM, Safran).

  • Full right to work in the UK.
  • Working from home and 3 days in Bridgewater (the 3rd day can be at a satellite office in Bridgewater or Bristol, Aztec West).
