We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Planner to join our dynamic award winning team at Cooper Moss Rutland. You will support delivery across complex infrastructure programmes, focused on mechanical scopes across engineering, procurement and construction phases. As a Mechanical Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate, integrated schedules for mechanical workstreams, ensuring alignment with the overall programme and providing visibility on progress, risk and sequencing.

The Role:

  • Develop and manage detailed schedules for mechanical scopes across the project lifecycle
  • Integrate mechanical activities into the wider programme, ensuring alignment with other disciplines
  • Ensure schedules accurately reflect constraints, dependencies and delivery sequencing
  • Provide insight into progress, risks and opportunities across mechanical workstreams
  • Support improvements in planning standards and outputs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain mechanical schedules within Primavera P6
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction teams to gather planning inputs
  • Monitor progress and identify deviations from the plan
  • Support reporting outputs including lookaheads and progress updates
  • Manage interfaces with contractors and supply chain partners

  • Strong planning capability within mechanical or engineering environments
  • Detail-oriented with a structured approach to work
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Commercial awareness of project delivery
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience in mechanical planning within infrastructure or construction projects
  • Strong Primavera P6 skills
  • Understanding of mechanical installation and commissioning processes
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary environments
  • Relevant technical or engineering background
