About the Role
As a Professional Education Trainer in the Global Professional Education team, you will be primarily responsible for delivering the training of the Versius system for surgical teams and trainee surgeons helping to ensure the competent setup and operation of the Versius robotic system in the UK and Europe. You will also support training development of content and resources for training. You will be an integral part of the Global Professional Education team and will work with other team members in the development, and coordination of best-in-class training programs. You will develop and be involved in Professional Education project work, alongside supporting other internal teams in collaborative projects. You will actively contribute to the feedback analysis of the training programmes and identifying areas for improvement of courses based on customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and delivery of all elements of the Versius training pathway including e-learning, Virtual Reality training programmes, Versius supervised practical training, proctors, and telepresence alongside the Global Professional Education Curriculum team.
- Support and deliver Training Programmes run in association with societies and colleges within Europe (primarily UK), delivering both online and in-person training sessions.
- Support regions where they have identified local customer-facing team training gaps and plan refresher or targeted training where required.
- Be a part of the Global Professional Education team assessing the training programme – reviewing feedback, attending trainings to assess quality assurance, and implementing improvements and coaching if needed.
- Support training delivery for formative and summative usability studies both in Cambridge and in the US.
- Willing to turn your hand to anything within the remit that helps the team deliver its objectives.
About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be:
- Previous education in training programme delivery.
- Previous experience working either as an industry representative or healthcare professional in an operating room environment.
- Knowledge of surgical environment, terminology, common surgical procedures, ideally minimally invasive procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills including a clear and concise writing and presentation style, particularly when describing technical content.
- Strong team player, able to effectively operate as part of a cross-functional team, and successfully interact and build strong relationships with clinicians, engineers, medical professionals, and business partners and other opinion leaders.
- Comfortable working with highly technical material, and strong ability to present the complex in clear, simple terms.
- Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and use MS Office applications.
- Fluent in English (or native language equivalent) and an additional European language(s) is desirable.
- Experience of delivering training on surgical robotic platform.
