Are you ready to join the UK's most exciting MedTech company? At CMR Surgical, we're revolutionising the future of minimal access surgery with Versius, our next-generation surgical robotic system. We're growing fast, and we’re on a mission to transform how surgery is delivered globally—for the benefit of patients, clinicians, and healthcare systems. Our values—Ambitious, Humble, People-Focused, and Fair & Responsible—define our approach to innovation, partnership, and growth. If you believe in making a meaningful difference in healthcare and want to be part of a purpose-driven company with bold ambitions, now is the time to join us.

As Clinical Sales Specialist, you’ll play a key role in the growth of the Versius robotic programmes across the NHS and private sector, with a specific focus on procedures growth and new product launch and adoption. This is a field-based role responsible for several accounts where you’ll own the implementation cycle—from pre-contracting stakeholder engagement for the duration of the partnership—operating in close collaboration with cross-functional colleagues and NHS clinical, operational and management teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the utilisation of Versius across several accounts ensuring hospitals have the latest technology.
  • Lead the clinical growth of Versius, from successful new installation implementation to ongoing sales of new technology and upgrades for the duration of the partnership whilst ensuring feedback is recorded and tracked.
  • Open opportunities for capital sales teams to sell additional Versius.
  • Actively involved in the implementation of systems for new accounts.
  • Provide first class support to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), engineering teams and Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD).
  • Implementation planning and coordination to influence internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful completion of all project phases, on time and within budget, while delivering an industry-leading customer experience.
  • Provide case support and troubleshooting in the Operating Room for surgical teams who are trained to use Versius.
  • Support the sales and management team with internal planning and forecasting processes, record and track activity and progress using Salesforce and other commercial tools.
  • Participate in educational, marketing and sales related activities and events.
  • We’re a rapidly developing company and roles can change and evolve. You’ll be willing to turn your hand to anything within the Commercial remit that supports the team with delivering its objectives.

About You

  • Experience within the Operating Room with either a track record of successful sales into the NHS or private sector of surgical equipment or experience within a clinical environment relating to advanced technology.
  • Demonstrated ability in multiple stakeholder management.
  • Strong project management, prioritisation and organisational skills, being responsible for a variety of key planning and coordinating activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, ability to build rapport and strong long-term relationships.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial understanding.
  • Highly motivated, adaptable to change and solution-oriented individual who enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in robotic surgery, soft tissue surgical devices, or minimal access surgery (MAS) (desirable).

You will work as part of a closely networked commercial team, predominantly in a defined region, but will have a willingness to travel across the UK, with availability for several days away, and occasionally internationally. At CMR we’re building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace; what matters most to us is that you identify with our values and are passionate about making a difference.

Why Join Us?

We offer a competitive salary and a great benefits package including a bonus, non-contributory pension, private healthcare, generous annual leave allowance and enhanced global parental leave pay.
