We are looking for an exceptional Senior ServiceMax Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Systems Team, based in Cambridge, UK. Reporting to the Enterprise Systems Lead, you will play a key role in delivering scalable, high-quality Salesforce and ServiceMax solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and fellow engineers to design, document, develop, and test innovative solutions that drive business success and enhance the customer experience. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves problem-solving, thrives in a collaborative environment, and takes pride in building impactful, well-crafted software. This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of 3 days a week being based in the office.
Responsibilities
- Design & Architect Solutions: Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce and ServiceMax solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices.
- Develop & Implement Features: Build and configure ServiceMax modules, Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and API integrations.
- Optimize & Innovate: Evaluate new Salesforce/ServiceMax features and third-party tools to enhance performance and user experience.
- Documentation & Communication: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specs, configuration guides, and deployment plans.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Write and execute unit, integration, and regression tests; support UAT and resolve production issues promptly.
We are a rapidly developing company and roles can change and evolve. You will be willing to turn your hand to anything within the Enterprise Systems remit that supports the team with delivering its objectives.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to have/be:
- 5+ years of experience with ServiceMax (to include implementation experience).
- Strong proficiency in Apex, LWC, SOQL, SFM Design, Flows, ServiceMax Back-End Processes.
- Solid understanding of Service Cloud and ServiceMax data model (Customer feedback journey).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
It would also be helpful if you have:
- Salesforce Platform Developer II or Technical Architect certifications.
- Experience with middleware tools (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc.).
- Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP systems.
