- Develop, implement, and continually improve the organisation's Health & Safety strategy, policies, and management systems in line with UK legislation (e.g., Health and Safety At Work Act, COSHH, PUWER, RIDDOR, etc.) and coordinate international requirements where needed.
- Lead comprehensive UK H&S governance activities including risk assessments, safe systems of work, incident investigations, audits, and follow-up action tracking.
- Coordinate international communication of these.
- Oversee safety for manufacturing processes, including machinery safety, manual handling, and workplace layout considerations.
- Support international field-based operations with appropriate training and risk assessments.
- Drive a safety culture of proactive compliance through engagement, coaching, and effective training programmes.
- Maintain H&S performance metrics, KPIs, dashboards, reporting regularly to senior leadership and communicating with CMR as a whole.
- Manage relationships with regulators (including HSE), insurers, auditors, and industry bodies.
- Support emergency planning and business continuity considerations related to H&S.
We'd expect you to be willing to turn your hand to anything within the Health and Sustainability remit that helps the team deliver its objectives.
About you
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have/be:
- Excellent influencing, communication, and coaching capabilities.
