About the Role

The Global Product Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the global positioning, messaging and commercial success of CMR Surgical’s soft-tissue robotic surgery portfolio. This role is responsible for developing compelling communication assets including product literature, digital content, and online campaigns while driving portfolio strategy and supporting global commercial readiness. The ideal candidate will combine deep understanding of soft-tissue surgery or robotic-assisted surgery with strong marketing expertise to create differentiated value propositions, support product lifecycle management and ensure consistent global messaging. This role is central to enabling CMR Surgical to scale globally, strengthen market presence, and deliver meaningful value to customers and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Product Messaging & Positioning
    • Develop clear, differentiated value propositions and messaging frameworks for CMR’s soft-tissue robotic surgery portfolio.
    • Ensure consistent global messaging across literature, digital channels, training materials and commercial tools.
    • Translate complex clinical and technical information into compelling customer centric narratives.
  • Marketing Communication & Content Development
    • Lead the creation of product literature, brochures, animations, white papers and digital assets to support commercial readiness.
    • Develop online content including website pages, social media posts and digital campaigns aligned with global marketing strategy.
    • Ensure all materials meet regulatory, brand and quality standards.
    • Maintain a structured global content library for commercial teams.
  • Market Research / Customer Feedback
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, unmet needs and competitive dynamics in soft-tissue robotic surgery.
    • Analyse market data to generate actionable insights for product positioning and roadmap development.
    • Gather customer feedback to inform product development, messaging and commercial strategy.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy & Launch Excellence
    • Develop and execute in conjunction with Product Management and Clinical Marketing global go-to-market strategies for new product introductions and feature releases.
    • Create launch toolkits including messaging guides, training materials and digital assets.
    • Ensure global markets are fully prepared for launch through coordinated cross-functional planning.
  • Training & Commercial Enablement
    • Develop and deliver product and messaging training for global commercial teams.
    • Create sales enablement tools including pitch decks, objection handling guides and competitive positioning materials.
    • Support KOL engagement and clinical education initiatives in collaboration with ProfEd and clinical teams.
  • Customer & Visitor Experience Support
    • Support the coordination and delivery of high quality customer and VIP visits to CMR Surgical’s headquarters.
    • Help manage on site visitor programmes, supporting theatre/OR observation visits and ensuring all guests receive a structured, professional and technically robust experience aligned with commercial objectives.
    • Contribute to presenting the company and Versius platform narrative, demonstrating the system where required and supporting hands on sessions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with Commercial, Clinical, ProfEd, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and regional marketing teams to ensure product success.
    • Coordinate activities with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on messaging, content and launch readiness.
    • Contribute to process improvements that enhance marketing efficiency and scalability.
  • Budget Management
    • Manage budgets for content creation, digital campaigns, and marketing programmes, ensuring cost-effective execution.
    • Oversee external agencies, creative partners and digital vendors to deliver high-quality outputs.

About you

  • Degree or equivalent in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Science, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Several years of global medical device marketing experience, ideally within soft-tissue surgery or surgical robotics.
  • Proven ability to create high-quality product literature and digital content using professional publishing tools.
  • Experience developing value propositions, messaging frameworks, and go to market strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert insights into actionable marketing direction.
  • Excellent interpersonal, advocacy and influencing skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and global markets.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.

It would also be helpful if you have:

  • Clinical experience in the operating room, minimally invasive surgery, or robotic-assisted surgery.
  • Medical device sales or clinical consulting experience.
  • Knowledge of surgical robotic systems, workflows and competitive landscape.
  • Understanding of global regulatory and quality requirements for marketing materials.
