Our client, a well-established engineering and manufacturing company supplying specialised equipment to global industrial markets, is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join their growing team. In this hands-on electrical role, you will be responsible for wiring a wide range of machines and control panels, working from detailed electrical drawings and cable schedules.
The responsibilities of the Electrical Technician include but are not limited to:
- Wiring electrical control panels and machinery using detailed electrical drawings and schematics.
- Installing and wiring components including PLCs (no programming required), drives, motors, relays, transformers, sensors and HMIs.
- Carrying out on-machine wiring, including trunking, cable tray, junction boxes and field devices.
- Supporting electrical fault-finding activities during build, test and commissioning stages.
- Working collaboratively with the wider engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
Skills, Experience & Key Candidate Attributes of the Electrical Technician:
- Fully time-served electrician with experience in control panel wiring, machine wiring and three-phase systems.
- Ability to read and follow electrical drawings, schematics and cable schedules confidently.
- Strong fault-finding skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- 18th Edition qualification is advantageous but not essential.
Hours: 8:00am β 4:30pm Monday β Thursday, 8:00am β 1:30pm Friday
