We are seeking an experienced Internal Sales Manager to join our client, a leading supplier of construction site consumables. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional to take ownership of a key function and play a pivotal role in driving customer satisfaction and business growth. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining team support, customer engagement and commercial decision making.
You will act as a key point of contact for more complex enquiries, help develop the capability of the Internal Sales team, and become a trusted source of product and market knowledge across the business.
The responsibilities of the Internal Sales Manager include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead and develop the Internal Sales team, providing coaching, guidance and daily support while remaining actively involved in customer enquiries and sales activity.
- Manage complex and high value enquiries, either taking ownership directly or supporting colleagues to deliver timely and effective solutions.
- Develop expert product and market knowledge, becoming the go-to resource for technical advice and commercial support across the business.
- Balance customer satisfaction with commercial performance, ensuring quotations and solutions maximise opportunities while protecting profitability and margin.
- Proactively follow up quotations and enquiries, identifying opportunities to convert business, win orders and strengthen customer relationships.
- Identify trends, opportunities and customer feedback from frontline interactions, escalating insights to management and supporting continuous business improvement.
