A well-established international supplier to the Mechanical & Electrical and Building Engineering Services sector is looking to appoint a hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead a small, high-performing team. This is a practical role managing day-to-day warehouse operations. You will lead a small team, oversee goods in and out, and ensure the smooth running of warehouse activities while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and customer service. The position requires someone who is happy to lead from the front, step in where needed, and build a strong understanding of all warehouse functions from the ground up.

Hours: Monday to Friday Flexible Hours (45-hour week)

The responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Work hands-on across all warehouse activities including goods in, picking, packing, loading, and general operations
  • Lead and support a small team, stepping in to cover absences, annual leave, and busy periods
  • Ensure goods in and goods out processes are followed correctly, maintaining accuracy and efficiency
  • Carry out and monitor health & safety standards, including fire safety checks and safe use of equipment
  • Oversee general warehouse upkeep, maintenance tasks, lifting equipment checks, and basic stock control

Skills, Experience & Key Candidate Attributes of the Warehouse Manager:

  • Proven warehouse experience, ideally at supervisor or manager level within a hands-on environment
  • Strong leadership approach with willingness to support the team operationally when needed
  • Customer-focused mindset with the confidence to make decisions and resolve issues quickly
  • Good understanding of warehouse processes, health & safety, and equipment checks
  • Forklift experience and working knowledge of stock control systems and Excel
