Our client, a well‑established engineering and manufacturing company supplying specialised equipment to global industrial markets, is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join their growing team. In this hands‑on electrical role, you will be responsible for wiring a wide range of machines and control panels, working from detailed electrical drawings and cable schedules.
The responsibilities of the Electrical Technician include but are not limited to:
- Wiring electrical control panels and machinery using detailed electrical drawings and schematics.
- Installing and wiring components including PLCs (no programming required), drives, motors, relays, transformers, sensors and HMIs.
- Carrying out on‑machine wiring, including trunking, cable tray, junction boxes and field devices.
- Supporting electrical fault‑finding activities during build, test and commissioning stages.
- Working collaboratively with the wider engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure timely and high‑quality project delivery.
Skills, Experience & Key Candidate Attributes of the Electrical Technician:
- Fully time‑served electrician with experience in control panel wiring, machine wiring and three‑phase systems.
- Ability to read and follow electrical drawings, schematics and cable schedules confidently.
- Strong fault‑finding skills and a methodical approach to problem‑solving.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- 18th Edition qualification is advantageous but not essential.
Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 1:30pm Friday
