The Role
As a Client Relationship Manager, you'll be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring they receive a consistently high level of service and support. You'll work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, review account performance, resolve challenges, and identify opportunities to add value. The role involves regular client meetings and site visits, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships face-to-face.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of customer accounts.
- Develop a thorough understanding of each client's business, objectives and challenges.
- Ensure a consistently high level of client satisfaction and service delivery.
- Account Management & Client Success
- Conduct regular client meetings, reviews and site visits.
- Review account performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement solutions that enhance client outcomes and strengthen partnerships.
- Prepare and deliver account reviews, service updates and business performance reports.
- Client Support & Problem Resolution
- Proactively manage client enquiries and concerns.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
- Act as an advocate for clients, ensuring their needs are understood across the business.
- Monitor client engagement and identify potential risks to account retention.
- Market & Commercial Awareness
- Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activity and industry developments.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships.
- Support the wider business by sharing client feedback and market intelligence.
- CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate client records, account plans and activity logs within the CRM system.
- Produce detailed account reports and performance reviews.
- Track client interactions and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
About You
We're looking for a confident and professional relationship builder who enjoys working closely with clients and delivering outstanding service. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in Account Management, Client Relationship Management, Customer Success, Client Services or a similar client-facing role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A customer-first mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Experience using CRM systems and producing account reports.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of a client portfolio.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, with the willingness to travel regularly to client locations.
