Our client, a well-established and growing accountancy practice, is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their expanding Audit team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified auditor looking to take ownership of client engagements while continuing to develop their technical expertise and leadership skills.
Working closely with Managers and Partners, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality audits across a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted adviser and helping to develop more junior members of the team.
The Role
As Audit Senior, you will be responsible for managing audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with professional standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading audit fieldwork across a varied client portfolio.
- Supporting audit planning activities, including risk assessments, scoping, and testing strategies.
- Preparing and reviewing audit files and working papers to a high technical standard.
- Identifying audit risks and key findings, escalating issues where appropriate and recommending practical solutions.
- Producing audit-related deliverables including financial statements, completion reports, management letters, and audit summaries.
- Acting as the primary contact for clients throughout the audit process.
