Payroll Coordinator in Stockport

The Role We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a busy team, responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll while providing a high level of customer service. Key Responsibilities * Process payroll accurately and within agreed deadlines. * Manage payroll information from input through to completion. * Process starters, leavers and employee changes. * Calculate pay, deductions and adjustments accurately. * Handle payroll queries professionally and efficiently. * Investigate discrepancies and take ownership through to resolution. * Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information. * Complete payroll checks and reconciliations. * Ensure statutory requirements and payroll procedures are followed. * Process PAYE, National Insurance and other relevant deductions. * Support pension and auto-enrolment processes. * Assist with statutory payments and payroll-related administration. * Work closely with internal teams to resolve payroll issues. * Provide clear and accurate information to customers and employees. * Manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy. * Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. * Meet payroll deadlines and maintain strong attention to detail. * Keep up to date with relevant payroll legislation and changes. * Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency. * Contribute positively to a collaborative, customer-focused team. About You * Previous experience in a payroll position. * Good knowledge of UK payroll processes and legislation. * Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. * Organised, proactive and confident managing your own workload. * Comfortable using payroll systems and Microsoft Office. * Professional and confidential approach
