We're working with an established and growing general practice in Buckinghamshire who are looking to add an Accountant to their team. It's a friendly, supportive firm with a strong focus on client relationships, giving people responsibility and helping their team progress. You'll work with a varied portfolio of mainly SME and owner-managed businesses, covering a broad mix of accounts, tax and general practice work. This is a genuinely client-facing role, so you'll be speaking with clients regularly, understanding their businesses and becoming a trusted point of contact rather than simply preparing accounts behind the scenes. The role is hybrid, with 2 days a week in the office , with the option to move towards a fully remote setup once you've settled into the role and built relationships with your clients. What you'll be doing Managing a portfolio of mainly SME and owner-managed clients. Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. Completing VAT returns, management accounts and tax returns. Speaking directly with clients, handling queries and providing practical accountancy advice. Helping clients with bookkeeping and their accounting systems. Building strong, long-term relationships and becoming a trusted contact for your clients. Working alongside the wider team to make sure clients receive a high level of service. What we're looking for Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice. Experience preparing accounts for SME and owner-managed businesses. A good understanding of VAT, bookkeeping and general practice accounts. AAT qualified, ACCA/ACA part-qualified or qualified, or someone who has built their experience through practice. Confident communicating directly with clients and comfortable managing your own portfolio. Commercially minded, personable and keen to continue developing your career. JBRP1_UKTJ
