A well-established and growing accountancy practice is looking to appoint an experienced Client Director to lead and develop a portfolio of contractor and owner-managed business clients. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an ambitious accountancy professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, leading teams, and contributing to the strategic growth of a modern practice.

The successful candidate will oversee and support a team of accountants while managing their own portfolio of primarily contractor clients, acting as a trusted adviser and ensuring consistently high standards of client service and technical delivery. Key Responsibilities

Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience within a general practice accountancy environment is essential.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge across contractor and owner-managed business clients.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced accountancy practice environment.
  • Contractor accounting experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience managing and supporting a team of accountants.
  • Strong client relationship and account management skills.
  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Commercially minded with excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable advising business owners and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage workloads efficiently and maintain high service standards.
  • Business development experience would be advantageous.
