We're partnering with a highly respected contractor services provider seeking a Senior Payroll Advisor to join their growing payroll team. The Role
- Processing weekly and monthly payroll for umbrella, CIS, and contractor workers
- Calculating PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, holiday pay, and statutory deductions
- Validating timesheets, invoices, and payment instructions
- Acting as a senior point of contact for contractor payroll queries
- Investigating and resolving complex payroll discrepancies
- Ensuring full compliance with HMRC, FCSA, SafeRec, AWR, and pension regulations
- Supporting and mentoring junior payroll team members
- Assisting with process improvements and system enhancements
- Working closely with internal teams, agencies, and contractors
This is a highly visible, client-facing role within a busy contractor payroll environment.
About You
- Proven experience within umbrella, CIS, or contractor payroll
- Strong knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, and holiday accrual
- A solid understanding of HMRC legislation and payroll compliance
- Experience working in a high-volume payroll environment
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- A proactive, detail-focused approach
- Previous experience supporting or mentoring colleagues
