We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Accounts Senior to join a growing accountancy practice. This is a varied role working with a broad portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, providing accounting, bookkeeping, and tax support. The successful candidate will be confident managing multiple responsibilities and supporting clients across a range of accounting and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage bookkeeping and VAT returns for a varied client portfolio
  • Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  • Prepare corporation tax computations and Self Assessment tax returns
  • Support clients with day-to-day accounting and compliance queries
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and provide support across the wider team as required
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure deadlines are met

Candidate Requirements

  • AAT qualified (or above) or qualified by experience (QBE)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within an accountancy practice environment
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping, accounts preparation, VAT, and tax compliance
  • Organised and able to manage a varied workload effectively
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Proactive and team-oriented approach
