Location: Plymouth

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 D.O.E

Hours: Full-time, 67.5 hours per fortnight (on an alternating pattern of 37.5 hours per week and 30 hours the next week)

CMO SUPERSTORES Ltd is an online supplier of building materials, sold across multiple specialist e-commerce stores. We are seeking a self-motivated, organised, experienced, and high-performing PHP Web Developer to join our team.

You will be helping develop our custom ecommerce platform and websites so strong experience building systems on a LAMP stack is essential as well as front-end skills (HTML/HTML5/CSS/JavaScript).

Essential skills and experience:

  • Linux
  • Apache
  • MySQL
  • PHP (LAMP stack)
  • HTML/HTML5
  • CSS/CSS3
  • JavaScript (preferably using the jQuery library)
  • Cross-browser and cross-device development (e.g. responsive design)
  • GIT
  • Basic server administration
  • HTML email development
  • Ability and desire to learn new technologies
  • Significant experience in a Web Developer position
  • Symfony or alternative framework

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Website deployment strategies
  • Knowledge of open source platforms and software
  • Understanding of PSR standards

In addition to the technical ability above, the ideal developer will be commercially minded, with strong interpersonal skills, be comfortable in front of managers and have the ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical people.
