Warehouse Supervisor in Shrewsbury

Job Description

Shift Pattern:

• 4ON 4OFF Days – 06:00am-18:00pm.

Salary:

• £30,850.82 per annum + £1,500 per annum banked hours payment per annum.

Key Duties of a Warehouse Supervisor:

• Manage and motivate the shift team ensuring that productivity and service KPI’s are achieved or exceeded.
• Monitor and promote good working practices conforming to all Health and Safety law and IPS SOP’s.
• Manage Goods Inwards area to ensure that receipts are made quickly and without damaging goods so that stock is available to satisfy production and orders.
• Manage outbound picking and loading to ensure loads are ready on time for the collection.
• Ensure accuracy of systems on receipts and dispatches.
• Carry out all Quality and compliance checks and controls and ensure the team works to the Audit standard required.
• Manage team and cover for Shift Managers in their absence.
• Deliver communication briefings so that all shift are aware of company and local issues and employees can input improvements and feel involved.
• Develop all team members so that their contributions to the Warehouse can be maximised and succession plan delivered.
• Enforce and adhere to all Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Computer literate with knowledge of Excel and WMS systems.
• Confident at dealing with people at all levels.
• Adaptable and methodical approach to work, training and working hours.
• Ability to efficiently lead a team, delegate, supervise functions and keep staff motivated.
• Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Effectively prioritise workload to meet set deadlines.
• Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
