CML, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting for HGV Drivers in Telford. We are looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team, supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK. This is a permanent day driving role offering full-time stability and the opportunity to be part of a trusted logistics operation.
Shift patterns available:
- 4 on 4 off Days (start times between 07:00 - 12:00)
- 5 on 3 off Nights (start time between 07:00 - 12:00)
Pay rates:
Our HGV Drivers have strong earning potential, with OTE earnings ranging from £41,756 to £52,000 depending on shift pattern, overtime and applicable allowances.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
- Complete nationwide deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, often loading and unloading where required using PPT equipment.
- Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
- Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly, taking responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
- Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
- Take advantage of night-out runs where available, if this is something you are interested in.
Qualifications:
- Possession of LGV Class C+E Licence and valid DCPC.
- Minimum 6 months experience driving LGV.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Excellent attention to detail.
