To support our Finance Director and investor relations, we are looking to recruit a Management Accountant. Our Finance team play a pivotal role in our success by providing financial support and guidance to senior stakeholders across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and ambitious Management Accountant to join us to contribute to the development of the finance function, to help define our internal processes and to support our business as we grow into new market sectors.

Responsibilities

With specific responsibility for the financial management and interface between our operational departments this role will suit someone who’s diverse and craves challenge. As Management Accountant, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Management of the month end process and preparation of the management accounts
  • Managing and reporting project margins
  • To assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and the subsequent review of these against actual results.
  • To understand the operational processes and systems in order to provide advice and support to the wider business.
  • Take ownership of the P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and VAT returns
  • Support the FD in improvement of financial and business controls
  • Act as a business partner for all departments
  • Calculation and Posting of Revenue Recognition, WIP, and Inventory
  • Produce Management Information for Directors and Shareholders
  • Manage payroll and benefits administration
  • ERP system support and maintenance
  • Play a key role in the Year End Process and Audit
Education Requirements

Preferably a Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA/ACCA/CIMA) but QBE will be considered, with relevant experience to hit the ground running.

Experience Requirements

Previous experience working in an engineering or capital equipment environment would be advantageous but not essential.
