2024 is an exciting time for technology professionals to join CME Group following the recent $1bn equity investment from Google. CME Group has also agreed a long-term partnership with Google to migrate our technology infrastructure to Google Cloud in a visionary partnership to transform the global derivatives markets through technology.

Working pattern: Mon – Fri 7am – 4pm

As a Technology Operations Engineer III you will:

1. Monitor all customer facing environments (Production, Certification, New Release, & Disaster Recovery) within the Clearing & Trading business units.
2. Remediate systems & application issues in these environments.
3. Escalate in a timely manner following guidelines developed within the dept, to appropriate next level of support.
4. Accurately report incidents to management.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Learn and execute triage, escalation protocol and recovery procedures per application/business area.
2. Utilize monitoring systems and company tools to ensure system stability at all times and ensures all incidents are acknowledged in a timely and efficient manner.
3. Learn specific application flows and general functionality by application.
4. Document timeline of events for incident reporting and post mortem.

Other qualities we are interested in:

1. Basic proven Linux knowledge.
2. Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise, especially in critical and high-pressure scenarios.
3. Established communication pattern/experience with internal and external customers; regional, local, in-person and/or virtual.
4. Cloud based platform experience (GCP, AWS) a bonus.
