The Sr E-Discovery & Litigation Support Analyst will assist with the identification, preservation, collection, and analysis of data as instructed. The role will provide operational support to CME Group’s E-Discovery team, including program administration, matter management, technical assistance, customer service, and system administration. The ideal candidate will have technical skills and experience with managing E-Discovery projects following best practices and focusing on stakeholder satisfaction.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Assists legal and compliance in all phases of litigation or discovery for various types of matters and engagements.
- Facilitates the distribution and tracking of preservation hold notices, questionnaires, and hold releases.
- Possesses the ability to manage and perform data collections from various repositories, applications, cloud-based solutions, and custodians using defensible methodologies.
- Performs technical processes in accordance with defined policies and procedures.
- Configures database structures and permissions, analyzes and loads data into the proper toolset, and processes and produces data as instructed.
- Conducts quality control reviews of databases and the E-Discovery environment, while analyzing and troubleshooting issues to identify solutions.
- Collaborates with internal and external counsel, vendors, custodians, and internal IT teams as needed.
- Provides status updates and reports on activities as assigned.
- Assists with the creation and review of related policies and procedures.
- Conducts testing to ensure completeness and accuracy during upgrades, migrations or any other changes to the E-Discovery environment.
- Completes special projects related to E-Discovery and litigation support.
- Keeps abreast of the changes within the E-Discovery and litigation landscape.
Skills and Software Requirements:
- The candidate must have experience with eDiscovery technology, preferably RelativityOne, and familiarity with other common end-to-end E-Discovery and litigation support toolsets for data collection, processing, review, and production.
- Understanding of storage methodologies and effective methods of defensibly preserving, collecting, converting, reviewing, and producing data from those sources.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to E-Discovery.
- Experience in designing and utilizing relational databases, performing quality control on data, and handling batch file creation and load file manipulation.
- Understanding of the litigation lifecycle.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and GCP is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent: Information Technology (Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical and Computer Engineering).
- Preferred: Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS), Relativity RCA, or similar certifications.
