Job Description
- Hybrid Role – 2 Days/week required in the office
- Sunday to Thursday shift
- Full-time
- City: Belfast
Ideal role for an advanced CCNA or a CCNP level engineer looking to expand their knowledge of network, security and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Acts as first responder, helping to organize and control incident response.
- Day to day monitoring and management of our platforms to ensure that internal SLAs, operational KPIs and quality standards are met.
- Handling complex technical support issues.
- Ability to support network faults to conclusion in a multi‑vendor, multi‑appliance infrastructure.
- Work closely with other IT teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve incidents and service requests.
- Day‑to‑day Technical Operations activities, including network and firewall troubleshooting, scripting changes, infrastructure and firmware updates.
- Maintain a positive attitude and a high level of customer service at all times.
- Contribute to the overall development of the operational systems and processes.
- Maintain accurate troubleshooting records through industry standard ticketing systems.
- Write technical SOPs and other documentation.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in a fast‑paced, enterprise NOC role (minimum 2nd or 3rd line experience).
- In‑depth support experience of LAN & WAN technologies.
- Exposure to firewalls, and load balancing with an understanding of security posture, firewalling, ACLs, industry best practice, and Internet architectures.
- VPN: IPSec and SSL.
- Understanding of wireless technologies.
- Experience with ISO and ITIL standards.
- Experience supporting or working with cloud technologies.
- Enterprise firewall certification (Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.).
- Toolset management experience (Solar Winds, or similar).
- WCA (Wireshark Certified) – or experience with hardware‑based packet capture systems.
