Ideal for an advanced CCNA or CCNP level engineer looking to expand knowledge of network, security and cloud technologies.
The Network Operations Engineer II will support the network infrastructure through monitoring, troubleshooting and change implementation using industry standard best practices. The role will ensure ongoing service operation to end users and customers, meeting agreed service levels and aligning with policies, processes and standards. It is key to maintaining platform stability for clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- First responder in incident response, helping to organize and control incidents
- Day‑to‑day monitoring and management of platform to meet internal SLAs, KPIs and quality standards
- Handle complex technical support issues
- Support network faults and conclude in a multi‑vendor, multi‑appliance infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams, vendors and service providers to resolve incidents and requests
- Perform technical operations activities (network and firewall troubleshooting, scripting changes, infrastructure and firmware updates)
- Maintain a positive attitude and high customer service at all times
- Contribute to the development of operational systems and processes
- Maintain accurate troubleshooting records in industry standard ticketing systems
- Write technical SOPs and other documentation
- Extensive experience in a fast‑paced enterprise NOC role (minimum 2nd or 3rd line experience)
- In‑depth support of LAN & WAN technologies: OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, Layer 2 architectures
- Experience with firewalls and load balancing, including: security posture (firewalling, ACLs, industry best practices, Internet architectures) and load balancing (F5 LB, iRules, persistence)
- VPN: IPSec and SSL
- Understanding of wireless technologies
- Experience with ISO and ITIL standards
- Experience supporting or working with cloud technologies
- Enterprise R&S certification (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
- Enterprise firewall certification (Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)
- Enterprise wireless certification (Aruba, Meraki, etc.)
- Cloud certification – GCP (preferable) / AWS / Azure
- Toolset management experience (SolarWinds or similar)
- WCA (Wireshark Certified) or experience with hardware‑based packet capture systems
- Multicast: PIM‑SM, MSDP, AnyCastRP
