Workshop Welder/Fabricator – Salisbury – Full-time permanent – Up to £40,000pa.

We are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our client\’s small, experienced team in their Workshop Department. Ideally you will have experience within farming/agriculture welding.

This is a hands-on role that requires you to work both independently and collaboratively with a team of fabricators and welders. You\’ll enjoy working on a variety of projects, from fabricating new parts to repairing agricultural and plant machinery.

Key Duties

  • Utilising MIG welding equipment to fabricate and manufacture parts and assemblies
  • Supply parts and assemblies from jigs and fixtures
  • Repair agricultural and plant machinery
  • Develop and improve machinery fleet
  • Maintain stock levels and welding consumables
  • Occasional travel to off-site projects

What We\’re Looking For

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in fabrication
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in MIG welding of steel
  • Some experience with TIG and ARC welding of steel, stainless steel, and aluminium is highly desirable
  • A working knowledge of engineering drawings
  • A full UK driving license and experience driving a counterbalance forklift
  • Enthusiasm, good timekeeping, and the ability to work to deadlines under pressure
  • Physically able to lift and handle heavy items in line with health and safety regulations
