Contract: Temporary - 2 to 4 months (to cover staff absence)

Shift Pattern and Pay Rate: 3 on / 3 off rotating shift pattern – days (06:00-18:00) and nights (18:00-06:00). £13.68 per hour on days. £15.14 per hour on nights.

The Opportunity: We are currently seeking a QC / QA Technician to join our client's Quality Team on a temporary basis to provide support during a period of staff absence. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in quality assurance or laboratory testing to work within a high‑performing manufacturing environment focused on maintaining the highest product and process standards. The role will involve conducting product inspections, laboratory testing, and compliance checks, ensuring all materials and finished products meet both internal and international quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality checks, laboratory testing, and visual inspections across production.
  • Ensure all products comply with established SOPs and quality specifications.
  • Identify, report, and segregate non‑conforming products and assist with investigations.
  • Conduct dimensional checks and record data accurately in the company LIMS system.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation, including shift handovers.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the Quality Department.
  • Support operational teams in maintaining compliance and driving continuous improvement.
  • Provide cover for colleagues when required.

About You:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a Quality, QA, or QC role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with recognised Quality Management Systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and computer‑based quality systems.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure.

Desirable:

  • Experience taking responsibility for quality processes or departmental duties.

Personal Qualities:

  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
  • Reliable and self‑motivated.
  • Honest and professional with a high level of integrity.
