Are you an experienced Estimator looking to bring your skills to a well-established and growing structural steel business? Our client, a reputable steel fabrication company based in the Southwest, is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Estimator to join their commercial team. You will be working on a wide range of steel projects - from industrial units and portal frames to complex multi-storey structures. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for structural steelwork projects
- Analyse project drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Liaise with clients, main contractors, engineers, and suppliers to gather pricing and technical information
- Conduct material take-offs and prepare cost breakdowns for labour, materials, and subcontractors
- Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and alternative solutions
- Attend pre- and post-tender meetings where required
- Support handover to the contracts team and assist with procurement
