Are you a qualified Accountant with a good understanding of farmers and farming practices? Interested in joining a growing and dynamic accounting firm where you can make a difference?
Our client is looking to add a talented Senior Associate Accountant to their team and play a key role in providing high-quality accounting, tax and advisory services to rural agricultural clients. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, an understanding of the unique challenges facing agricultural and rural businesses and the ability to build strong relationships with clients in the sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare financial statements and tax returns for rural clients including farms, agribusinesses and rural enterprises.
- Conduct detailed analysis of farm accounts, crop/livestock income and seasonal fluctuations.
- Provide tax planning and compliance advice to rural operations.
- Support clients with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Advice on succession planning, land ownership structures and rural investment strategies.
- Assist with preparation of management reports and KPI tracking for rural clients.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular contact and field visits.
- Ideally ACA / ACCA qualified.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in practice accounting, with exposure to the rural/agricultural sector.
- Previous experience working directly with farming or agribusiness clients preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial and management accounting principles.
- A genuine interest in rural communities and the agricultural sector.
- Full driver's license required - regular visits to client premises may be necessary.
