CMD Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with our client on an exceptional new opportunity for a forward-thinking Warehouse Manager. Our client is a family-owned business that has been crafting beauty from luxury products for over 35 years. They are offering a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, driven individual to take full ownership of their warehouse operations.
In this role, you will work closely with the Operations Manager to achieve company objectives, maintain strong relationships with their customer base, and deliver a quality service as efficiently as possible. You will take direct responsibility for managing a small team, alongside overseeing daily standards and stock management. As a Warehouse Manager, you will play a central role in the smooth running of their warehouse.
- Manage, support, and coordinate the wider picking team and cover for the Transport Manager when required.
- Schedule stock movements, coordinate departmental transfers, conduct regular physical counts, and reconcile variances.
- Oversee accurate record-keeping for all Goods-In, manage the off-loading of container shipments, and liaise with Purchasing on quality control.
- Arrange and maintain all storage areas efficiently, organising floor space and adhering to best practice design principles to maximise safety and space.
- Maintain warehouse machinery, troubleshoot breakdowns, schedule preventive maintenance, and manage the building security and alarm systems.
- Schedule transport with the 3PL company to keep logistics running smoothly, along with planning delivery routes and schedules for their small fleet.
- Partner with the Operations Manager to implement process changes, corrective actions, and productivity improvements.
Our client is seeking a candidate who brings both the technical qualifications and the personal qualities to make a real impact. Due to the site location, travel to 2 separate sites is essential, meaning access to a car is vital for this role. Previous experience using an ERP or WMS System is required. Strong ability to prioritise workloads, manage multiple tasks and keep operations running to schedule. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively across departments and with external suppliers.
