We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join a busy manufacturing environment, taking responsibility for supporting and coordinating a dedicated production area. This is a key role focused on ensuring materials, workflow, and communication are aligned to keep production running efficiently and on schedule.
The Role
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will act as the link between production, stores, and planning, ensuring your assigned production area is fully supported with materials, information, and coordination to meet output targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a specific production area, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
- Coordinate the flow of materials, components, and work orders to support production schedules
- Monitor production progress and highlight any delays or issues
- Liaise with production, stores, planning, and quality teams to resolve shortages or bottlenecks
- Ensure all documentation, job packs, and system updates are completed accurately
- Track and manage work-in-progress (WIP) to maintain efficient workflow
- Support production planning and scheduling activities
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency within your area
- Ensure high standards of organisation, housekeeping, and communication
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a logistics, production coordination, or manufacturing environment
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Good communication skills and the ability to work across teams
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident using IT systems (ERP/MRP systems advantageous)
- Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Valid Counterbalance licence (Training can be provided)
