Job Title: Logistics Operative Location: Melksham Type: Rolling ongoing temporary contract Working hours: Rotating shift Pay rate: Β£14.40 + shift allowance My client based in Melksham are looking to recruit a Logistics Operative to work within their Stores department on an ongoing contract basis. They are a global engineering company, who manufacturer parts for the rail industry with various locations throughout Europe. The role will report directly to the Cell Leader and the main responsibilities will include: Picking orders for Production. Moving of product around the Yard using Forklift Line feed for Production Cells. Packing for despatch. Booking in clean and dirty goods. Working towards zero defects process. Managing first in / first out stock. Interacting with internal and external customers. Managing inventory. Ability to work under pressure. Demonstrating good leadership skills. Skills/Experience Required Counterbalance / Reach licence Previous experience in a similar role Must be flexible with regards working hours as could involve nights/weekends. SAP experience would be desirable.This position will see you working a 37-hour week on days initially while training 07:00 β 15:30 Monday Thursday and 07:00 β 12:30 Friday. Once trained you must be able to commit working rotating shifts of 06:00 β 14:00 Monday β Friday and 14:00 β midnight Mon β Thursday This role will offer an immediate start for the right candidate
