Hours: 07:00 – 15:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:00 – 12:30 Friday

About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a respected client in the manufacturing/engineering sector, currently seeking a skilled Harness Operative to join their production team. You will be responsible for assembling and inspecting electrical wiring harnesses used in high-reliability applications.
This is a great opportunity for candidates with strong electrical assembly skills and IPC 610 certification, looking to join a professional and high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical wiring harnesses according to drawings and technical documentation
- Perform tasks such as cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and routing of cables
- Conduct visual inspections and basic electrical tests in line with IPC standards
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements at all times
- Maintain accurate build documentation and quality records
- Liaise with team leaders and engineers to resolve build issues and support production goals
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical or harness assembly
- IPC-A-610 certification is essential
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics
- Skilled in the use of standard assembly tools (crimpers, soldering irons, etc.)
- High level of attention to detail and precision
- Must be eligible to work in the UK – applicants requiring visa sponsorship cannot be considered
